Wallingford Accessible Boat Club

Making the River Thames accessible for everyone

Wallingford Accessible Boat Club opens up the beauty and tranquillity of the River Thames to those who might otherwise be unable to experience it. We are dedicated to helping people feel happier, more independent and more connected  to the community by providing safe, welcoming and fully accessible boat trips.

We support people of all ages living with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or limited mobility, offering the chance to enjoy time on the water in comfort, dignity and confidence. Whether it’s a peaceful solo outing, a family trip, or a group visit, every journey is designed to be inclusive, relaxing and uplifting.

Our trips are run by a wonderful team of friendly, fully trained volunteers who are passionate about creating a positive and memorable experience for every passenger.

Best of all, our trips are offered free of charge to everyone, ensuring that cost is never a barrier.  As a charity, we rely entirely on the generosity of individuals, local groups and organisations. Their support, alongside the dedication of our volunteers, makes it possible for us to continue offering these special moments of freedom, connection and joy on the river.

Together, we are making the River Thames a place where everyone belongs.
